What we believe
Questions, not advice
TalkCards is a conversation game, not therapy, counselling or relationship advice. We ask the thing you might not have thought to ask, and then get out of the way.
Nothing is recorded
The cards are prompts on a screen. What you say to each other is never captured or stored — no microphone, no transcript, and we never sell your data.
Honest about desire
Plenty of relationship apps stop politely at the bedroom door. We think that is often exactly where couples run out of language, so one of the nine decks goes there.
No streaks, no scores
No timers, no daily reminders, no gamified guilt. You open it when you want a better evening, and close it once you are talking.
Why we made TalkCards
It can be surprisingly hard to find something new to ask someone you know well. TalkCards gives couples and friends themed prompts they can play together on one phone, making it easier to move beyond the same everyday conversation without forcing a particular kind of answer.
How questions are created
We write and edit prompts for clarity, variety, and playability. A question should invite a story or an honest answer, avoid pretending there is one correct response, and make sense when read aloud. TalkCards is a conversation game—not therapy, counseling, or professional relationship advice.
What you can play for free
Some questions and games are available free on the site so you can start a conversation immediately. When a page previews one of our themed decks, we keep the sample small; the complete deck and its full card flow remain part of TalkCards.
Who writes our guides
The TalkCards team writes the articles, public games, and conversation prompts on this site. We draw a clear line between a game that helps people start talking and professional relationship support.
