TalkCardsFAQ
Grouped by topic — the app, the decks, subscriptions, privacy and fixes.
No. TalkCards opens straight in your browser on any phone, tablet or laptop — nothing to download, nothing to set up. Just open the link and start.
Not to look around, and not even to subscribe — checkout works as a guest and your access is saved in this browser. An account is optional: it is what makes your decks and your unlock follow you to another device.
As few as two, as many as fit around a table. The game runs on one phone that you pass back and forth — there's no second device to connect.
The decks are written for adults. Hot & Spicy in particular is explicit, so keep it out of family game night.
As long as you want. Some couples do three cards over coffee, others spend a whole evening on one deck. There are no timers and no scores.
1,001 questions across 9 decks. Getting Closer, Date Night, Hot & Spicy, Friends, Deep Talks, Girl Talk, Would You Rather, Silly & Sweet and Tough Talks.
Getting Closer — it's the gentlest way in, and the one most couples open first. From there, pick by mood: Silly & Sweet to laugh, Deep Talks to go slow and honest, Hot & Spicy for later.
Always. Swipe and the next card comes up. No question is compulsory and nobody has to explain a pass.
Yes. Subscribers can build unlimited private decks — inside jokes, shared memories, questions only your people would understand.
Cards are shuffled and the app remembers what you've already seen in a deck, so you work through it rather than looping on the same five cards.
Yes, we add questions and decks regularly. They're included in your subscription — no extra purchase.
All nine decks are part of Premium, along with unlimited decks you write yourselves. What you can read for free is the sample questions on our deck pages and the five-question couples game — enough to see how it plays before you pay.
There's a yearly plan (the cheapest per week) and a weekly plan for a one-off trip or occasion. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout.
No. One subscription covers everyone playing — the game runs on a single phone, so there's no second device to pay for.
Settings → Manage subscription on the same browser you paid with, or open talkcards.online/manage-subscription and use the email you paid with — Stripe emails you a login link to the Customer Portal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Creating a TalkCards account is optional and separate from cancelling.
If something went wrong — a double charge, a subscription you didn't mean to start — write to us at talkcards.support@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
Yes, any time from account settings. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
No. The cards are prompts on a screen; what you say to each other is never captured, stored or transmitted. There's no microphone access and no transcript.
Never. There are no ads and no data sales. We use basic analytics to see which decks people open, and nothing beyond that.
Only you, on your account. Custom decks are private and are never shared or published.
Make sure you're signed in with the same email you paid with, then reload the page. If they're still missing, email us and we'll fix it manually.
Reload once; if that fails, try a different browser or a private window. Very old browser versions can struggle — updating usually solves it.
You need a connection to load a deck. Once it's open, you can keep swiping through the cards you've already loaded.
Tell us. Send the deck name and the question to talkcards.support@gmail.com — we edit and re-publish quickly.
Email talkcards.support@gmail.com with what happened, what you expected, and the device and browser you're using. A screenshot helps a lot. We answer every report, usually within one working day.
There's no call centre — just us. Write to talkcards.support@gmail.com and one of the people who make TalkCards will reply.
